Writing under any circumstances can be intimidating. When you add in the external pressures of school grades and (gasp!) college admissions it can be downright paralyzing.
It’s only your entire future on the line here. (Or so it seems.) No biggie.
So, yeah, I get it. I understand how nerve-wracking this process can be. But I also know this: writing well is so worth the effort. And the satisfaction of pulling it off, of expressing yourself better than you ever thought you could, of getting that “A” grade or (gasp!) that college acceptance letter in the mail, simply CANNOT BE BEAT.
Believe me, I know. I’ve seen it. And the more doubt there was in the beginning, the more satisfaction there will be in the end when we achieve our goal.
For the last 20-plus years I have made my living as a self-employed writer, tutor and college counselor. It all started way back when in Los Angeles, where I supported myself as an essay and college admissions tutor while writing screenplays and fiction on the side. This later morphed into a copywriting and consulting career where I used my storytelling skills to help companies boost sales through content marketing and improved communications.
But I have always returned to tutoring, the place where my natural teaching skills dovetail with my passion for knowledge and the written word. My experience tutoring kids with college admissions essays and SAT/ACT test prep, in turn, has led me to add the full range of college counseling services to my work.
Having recently relocated to Las Vegas, I now work as a writing tutor and college admissions counselor for students across the USA (and sometimes even across the world). I am available to work in person and/or through email, phone, or facetime to help you achieve your academic and college admissions goals.
